Cellulose, fibers & wood chemicals
Industrial-scale cellulosic fiber production — viscose, Lyocell and cellulose acetate spun from wood pulp — that is displacing the toxic CS2 solvent process of classical rayon manufacturing with closed-loop NMMO solvent spinning, positioning wood-derived textiles as a lower-footprint alternative to cotton and synthetic polyester.
Enzymatic cellulose bleaching
Thermostable xylanase and laccase-mediator enzymes dosed directly into hot unbleached kraft pulp at paper mills, cutting chlorine dioxide consumption 20-30% and toxic AOX effluent while pushing the industry toward Totally Chlorine Free standards.
