Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) (PT Asia Pacific Rayon) is Indonesia-based, privately held and an RGE Group member; it is the first fully integrated viscose rayon producer in Asia, making 100% natural, biodegradable viscose staple fibre (VSF) and related viscose-rayon products for textile and personal hygiene uses. APR’s core operation is a 300,000-tonne/year VSF mill in Pangkalan Kerinci (Riau), plus Asia Pacific Yarn (APY) yarn spinning (7,552 tonnes capacity; sources VSF exclusively from APR). It is co-located with its pulp supplier APRIL Group, leveraging APRIL’s vertically integrated pulp mill. APR’s commissioning/inception is stated as December 2019. APR sells VSF and yarn to spinners, fabric and garment makers in Indonesia and 17+ countries. Latest 2025–2026 development: APR released its 2025 Sustainability Report on 2026-09-03, reporting VSF production up to 325,411 tonnes in 2025 and ongoing sustainability/community programs; therefore it is still active.
