Korea Nova
Profile
Korea Nova is a South Korean company specializing in AI-driven edible insect smart farms and bio-material development. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in South Korea, the company focuses on the automated mass production of mealworms and other insects for use in food, health supplements, and environmental solutions.
Core technology includes an AI-based insect smart factory system that integrates automated robotics for feeding, cleaning, and waste separation with real-time environmental data analysis. The company holds the first New Excellent Technology (NET) certification in the edible insect sector.
As of September 2026, Korea Nova remains active and is transitioning into a platform company. It has expanded into B2C consumer products, launching the Nova Gum (black pill) and Nova Lab (collagen jelly stick) brands. The company is currently scaling its operations, with plans to begin production at its own facility in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, in 2027. It is also pursuing international expansion, particularly in the Middle East, following successful demonstrations at GITEX 2025.
