It refines sugar (including refined white sugar, golden brown sugar, fine granulated sugar and invert sugar syrup), produces bio-based chemicals/biotech outputs (alcohol, health/beauty products, and contract manufacturing), runs the livestock business (largest pig farming and vertically integrated supply chain), and generates bioenergy by converting sugarcane bagasse to cogeneration power plus anaerobic digestion biogas from pig manure/urine, with power also sold to Taiwan Power Company. Founded May 1, 1946; headquarters: No. 68, Shengchan Rd., East Dist., Tainan City, Taiwan. Ownership/stock: public company, stock code 1237; government holds 96.51% and private shareholders 3.49%. Scale: 3,143 employees (as of Dec 31, 2023); 2025 revenue NTD 36.675 billion and net profit NTD 7.488 billion. Latest 2025–2026 developments: TSC signed an MoU with the US Grains and BioProducts Council (May 2026) to develop higher ethanol-blended gasoline (E10) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), targeting small-volume new biofuel production by end of 2026.
