Overview of the industry
Prophylactic and calendar-based chemistry — antibiotics given without a diagnosis, fungicides sprayed every week “just in case” — and the diagnostics, monitoring and forecasting tools that remove the unnecessary treatments. This is the catalogue’s second trend (“the end of prophylactic chemistry: diagnose → threshold → targeted treatment; information is an input”) as a collection of its own.
Veterinary diagnostics and plant-health laboratories may need accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025; national veterinary and phytosanitary services). The articles are overviews, not treatment protocols.
