Feed
What changes this industry: bio-solutions with evidence, technologies, suppliers and open money.
Overview of the industry
Mined and marine feed inputs — rock/dicalcium phosphate, fishmeal from reduction fisheries, soybean meal with its deforestation and formaldehyde-treatment baggage — and the fermentation, insect and single-cell alternatives already in commercial feeds. Distinct from veterinary (animal health drugs): this collection is about what the feed itself is made of.
Feed additives and novel proteins need authorization (EU Reg. 1831/2003 and PAP rules; in Russia: the Rosselkhoznadzor feed register, EAEU rules). The articles are overviews, not formulation advice.
Built with a direct join to the 1,320-company vendor index: 226 active companies carry the feed-additives/insect-protein tags — the largest cluster in the corpus.
