Stage 1: Medium and inoculation

Oat broth, glucose and peptone are blended and sterilized in the bioreactor with steam at 121°C for 30 minutes, then a pure Hericium erinaceus mother culture is introduced.

The liquor is concentrated on a vacuum evaporator below 50°C (to avoid caramelizing sugars or degrading erinacine), then sterile-filtered through a 0.22 um membrane cartridge, with 10% maltodextrin added as carrier.

Stage 5: Lyophilization

The concentrate is frozen on trays to −45°C, then primary-dried under vacuum at 0.1 mbar with gradual heating to 20°C, yielding a porous instant-dissolve cake.

Stage 6: HPLC analysis and nitrogen packing

The cake is milled to a golden micronized powder; HPLC confirms erinacine A above 2% and beta-glucans above 30%, moisture below 5%, and the powder is aseptically filled into nitrogen-flushed foil sachets for B2B shipment.
