1 · What it gives

Bio-polypropylene (bPP) is polypropylene made from biomass resources rather than fossil resources. It replaces conventional polypropylene made from fossil raw materials. Commercial-scale production, for example by cracking bio-naphtha, reached about 15,000 tonnes globally in 2022. Production and certification of bio-based plastics are governed internationally by the ISCC PLUS certification system.
