#### Stage 1: Saliva collection and transport
The patient spits into a Ziwig Endotest tube; on cap-rotation a stabilizing buffer of chaotropic salts and RNase inhibitors is released, instantly denaturing salivary proteins and preserving exosomal extracellular RNA, and the tube is mailed to the central accredited laboratory.
