China’s version of this market grew out of reagent and consumable distribution rather than software: the leading platforms are one-stop suppliers to universities, research institutes, hospitals and biopharma that added e-commerce and service layers on top of a distribution business.

One-stop life-science supply, authorised-distributor networks, integrated technical services#

  • Universal Biotech (优宁维): Shanghai-based, supplying life-science reagents, equipment, consumables and integrated technical services to higher-education institutions, research institutes, hospitals and biopharmaceutical companies, and acting as an authorised East China distributor for lines including BD Pharmingen.
