1 · What it gives

The National Research Facility for Phenotypic and Genetic Analysis of Model Animals is a large integrated platform for standardised, automated, intelligent, large-scale phenotyping and genetic analysis. It replaces less integrated model-animal research with high-throughput, continuous, precise analysis. The primate facility moved to pilot operation in 2023–2024 and the pig facility passed process acceptance in 2025; in 2023 the pig genetic-determination platform served 16 research units, analysing over 120,000 samples with contracts above 5 million yuan.
